Overallpurpose of the Job

In this role, you will support Account Officers in managing and developing relationships with Japanese corporate clients. You willassistwith customer account administration, ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, including KYC procedures, and support the day-to-day banking needs of clients. By working closely with internal stakeholders and customers, you will help deliver excellent service and contribute to the efficient management of client accounts.

The role includes the following:

  • Support a portfolio of Japanese corporate clients across a range of credit and non-credit banking products and services.

  • Assistwith lending activities, including short-term and long-term loans, trade finance transactions, foreign exchange, derivatives, and overdraft monitoring.

  • Support deposit-related business, cash management solutions, cash pooling services, and domestic and international payment transactions.

  • Prepare, review, and process applications, instructions, transaction documentation, and other customer-related requests.

  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide day-to-day support on banking products, services, and account-related matters.

  • Monitor andmaintaincustomer data, documentation, and account information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the management of guarantees, letters of guarantee, and other client commitments, including monitoring key maturity dates.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Account Officers, contributing to client relationship management, business development

In order tobe successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or a related environment, with knowledge of corporate banking products and services.

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support client relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Business-level German and English language skills; Japanese language skills would be an advantage.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, with strong administrative and organisational skills.

  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience will also be considered.
