Your Tasks

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical VIE to join our Transversal Corporate Risk team in Potsdam.
This international role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate risk management, credit portfolio monitoring, system development, and risk governance across Germany, the United Kingdom, and Austria.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Risk Officer Germany, you will contribute to the development of risk frameworks, the enhancement of reporting capabilities, and the implementation of strategic system improvements supporting the corporate lending business.

This position is ideal for a candidate looking to develop expertise at the intersection of risk management, data analytics, systems development, and regulatory governance within an international financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring and oversight of corporate lending portfolios across Germany, the United Kingdom, and Austria
  • Maintain and further develop monitoring tools and early warning systems used to assess portfolio performance and credit risk trends
  • Assist in the enhancement and implementation of risk management systems and digital solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of an AI-enabled portfolio monitoring framework, helping to identify emerging risks, automate monitoring activities, enhance data analysis, and improve management reporting
  • Support the preparation of management reports, portfolio analyses, and presentations for senior management and risk committees
  • Collaborate with business, operations, finance, and risk teams to improve data quality, reporting processes, and operational efficiency
  • Support strategic projects related to risk management, system enhancements, artificial intelligence, automation, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide analytical support to the Chief Risk Officer Germany on reporting and risk management initiatives

Your Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in financial services and risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment
  • Self-starter, able to operate independently as well as a team
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to actively handle multiple deliverables and changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • German language skills are an advantage
  • Experience with data analysis, business intelligence tools, or reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI)
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and system development
  • Knowledge of banking, lending, credit risk, or financial services is beneficial but not essential
